Following a small break for summer we had an outdoor screening of Oranje en het oproer in Oude Charlois.
EN: The inauguration of Beatrix in 1980 was not exactly without a struggle. Under the motto ‘No Home, No Coronation’, the city turned into a battlefield. What did the authorities expect on that day? How did they prepare? Who was ready when things really went wrong? And what did the squatters want? In Other Times a reconstruction of the Coronation Day and the preparations of criminal investigation, Mobile Unit, municipality, government and last but not least: the squatters. It becomes clear that in this complete chaos Amsterdam has crawled through the eye of the needle.
NL: De inhuldiging van Beatrix in 1980 verliep niet bepaald zonder slag of stoot. Onder het motto ‘Geen Woning, Geen Kroning’ veranderde de stad in een slagveld. Wat verwachtten de autoriteiten op die dag? Hoe hebben ze zich voorbereid? Wie stond klaar als het ècht mis ging? En wat wilden de krakers? In Andere Tijden een reconstructie van de Kroningsdag en de voorbereidingen van recherche, Mobiele Eenheid, gemeente, regering en last but not least: de krakers.
